After three and a half years in charge of Manchester City, Roberto Mancini has delivered three trophies to a club prior to his appointment had went thirty five years without silverware. The former Inter boss has spent his entire reign as City boss fighting off a media backlash that has surrounded the club since their takeover by Sheikh Mansour of the United Arab Emirates in 2008.

Champions Manchester City traveled to Everton's Goodison Park today at noon to take on their bogey side and cut the gap at the top of the Barclays Premier League. Winning the FA Cup this season will probably mean more to City than it would to any other club. Already out of the Champions League, Europa League and arguably the Premier League title race, this is realistically the last trophy this season City have to fight for.
