In the three years nearly since the famous "Rooneygate" across the road at Old Trafford, where the English striker sought to leave Old Trafford due to their lack of ambition, no transfer window has been complete without him being on the verge of signing for neighbours, Manchester City, at least twice per window. However each time the rumour and speculation has developed in various media outlets it's been quickly known as fake accusations to fill paper inches.

WAGES:
Since the arrival of both Txiki Begerinstein and Ferran Soriano to the club last September, they have been hell bent on decreasing the clubs spending by reducing the top earners wages by offering bonus incentives. However in cases such as one Carlos Tevez whose reported wages were near £250,000, were sold to reduce the club's expenditure.
THE STORY:
Why are these rumours suddenly occurring after he leaves a training camp in China? Okay, yes it's a small bit of a coincidence a player that is seeking to leave a club is suddenly home from a training camp, however less than an hour later people have gathered rumours and included City in a deal. The rumours have stemmed from a statement made that Wayne Rooney's agent, Paul Stretford, is currently in talks with Manchester City chief Ferran Soriano.
THE AMBUSH:
Both set of fans red or blue wouldn’t accept the fact that a Manchester United legend and a man whose talked nothing but dirt about his future club, is going to join. Yet again, the Carlos Tevez saga in 2009 proved that it could be done.
RUMOURED TARGETS:
Stefan Jovetic and Alvaro Negredo are rumoured to be both in advanced talks to join the club. Should Rooney then join how many strikers would City be looking for?
The deal is certainly possibly but again defies a lot of belief and common sense and ponders the mind as to why United would accept a deal. Let the transfer window roller coaster take its course.
