Match Preview: City vs. Fulham

Since we have defeated the Chelsea in August our season has gone up and down, which has been highlighted by the fact City are unable to keep a clean sheet.

City go into this match having not won away from home in the league since the victory at Newcastle in May. Fulham have excelled immensely this season already with signings of Dimitar Berbatov, Hugo Rodallega and Kieran Richardson. and currently looking to continue there good form and proving the league wrong after losing both Clint Dempsey and Moussa Dembele to Spurs.

A win therefore, from City ought to be expected, despite the poor start from our recent standards,  the side must avoid complacency on Sunday.

With regards to team selection, Roberto Mancini has a few injuries to his squad, with both Samir Nasri and Gareth Barry still trying to regain full fitness from a summer injury. Despite Barry's recouperation, he still managed to play in Tuesday night's Capital One Cup defeat to old club Aston Villa. Whilst the return of Mario Balotelli to the team after he has played a shadow role due to an eye injury is expected.

The upcoming Champions League match on at the Etihad against Borussia Dortmund won't affect the manager’s thinking, but we should expect a very strong starting eleven on both sides City face this next week.

After a less than impressive performance against Villa in mid week, Aleksandar Kolarov could well keep his place on the left of defence, whilst Gareth Barry, who managed to score an own goal against his old club and is competing with Javi Garcia and Jack Rodwell for a place alongside Yaya Touré in midfield. Samir Nasri faces a battle to remain in the side with the likes of James Milner, Scott Sinclair and Edin Dzeko all desperate to be involved, but Sergio Aguero and Carlos Tevez icould start again in attack as their partnership shows signs of continuous development.

Fulham have done exceptional throughout the last eleven season with goals being scored regularly and not much getting past ever present Aussie Star Mark Schwarzer. Despite showing relegation promise early on in many seasons, they have started this season with attack, flair and solidarity with playmarker Byrn Ruiz showing promise of his £10.8 million pound price tage.  Former United striker Dimitar Berbatov has been their player attacking player this season and has been the one who shows bright sparks and his mercurial nature may have poised a threat to our backline had injury not stroke. Fulham have a fully fit squad to chose from apart from the injured Bulgarian.

Predicted team: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov, Y. Toure, Barry, Javi Garcia, Silva, Aguero, Tevez.

Prediction: Fulham 1 –  1 City. I don't expect City to keep a clean sheet tomorrow sadly with a probable goal from one of their inform attack men. I also fully expect City to continue their scoring with a goal from David Silva from the away side to continue drawing away from home.
